Ducks Dump Ortiz to make Room for Elvis

2003 Atlantic League All-Star Pena rejoins Flock for 2006

(Central Islip, N.Y., May 6, 2006) – The Long Island Ducks, members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, today announced the signing of infielder Elvis Pena to a contract for the 2006 season.

To make room for Pena, infielder Nick Ortiz was assigned to the Road Warriors.

(Note: Ortiz has 3 HRs very early in season.  Big break for Road Warriors)
