Road Warriors Take Early Lead in Win 3-1 (6/30)CAMDEN, N.J. --- Mark Difelice pitched eight strong innings for the Riversharks against the Road Warriors, but his effort was not enough to overcome the three runs placed on the board, as the Riversharks fell to the Warriors, 3-1. The fifth inning saw both teams notch their first runs of the night on the board. Sandy Aracena hit his fourth home run of the year to put the Road Warriors up 1-0. The ‘Sharks answered right back in the bottom half as Javy Rodriguez doubled and then scored on a single from Richie Barrett. In the top of the seventh, the Road Warriors loaded the bases with a single, an error and an intentional pass from Difelice. Bernie Gonzalez then stepped in the batter’s box and put the Warriors ahead with a two-RBI single, putting the score at 3-1. Difelice finished the night with six strikeouts and one earned run. |
